From Alderman Jim Gardiner's newsletter regarding the Point Public Meeting:
A few weeks ago I shared that I would be holding a public meeting for The Point at Six Corners. Several people requested that I hold off on having this meeting until the middle of September due to vacation schedules and back to school events. I am happy to announce that we have a confirmed date of Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 7pm. The meeting will be held at the Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence, a venue large enough to accommodate the many people that have expressed interest in the development. Thank you to the Copernicus Center for generously donating their space for this meeting. I encourage all of you to attend this meeting and look forward to listening to your feedback.
Date: September 17, 2019
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Copernicus Center, 5216 W. Lawrence Ave.
This beautiful 90 minute restorative yoga practice will help us balance the yang of summer with the yin of autumn. We'll be reminded to breathe as we utilize the support of props to gently release tension from tight muscles, allow joints to open, and encourage clean energy to flow through. Slowing down and aligning the body and mind while centering the breath will be our focus. Reiki (energy healing) will be woven into the practice for those students who wish to receive deep relaxation, stress release, and prompting natural balance of mind & body. No experience necessary.
Mats and props will be provided at Wildlight Yoga, 4140 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Admission is $25. Pre-registration required. Members receive 10% off.
