CFF offers you the opportunity to create your own fringe adventure! Each of our 24 shows is one hour and all five venues are within easy walking distance. Options run the gamut – burlesque, family friendly, puppets, drama, musical and so much more! Check out the options and take a chance! It may turn out to be a trip you’ll never forget!

This annual Labor Day weekend festival at the Copernicus Center in Chicago’s Jefferson Park offers non-stop LIVE MUSIC, food, and fun for four days. It’s a must-do family event with enough scheduling to keep both little kids & adults happy.
There will be four stages and over 30 bands playing! There will also be other activities for kids and adults such as bouncy inflatables, face painting, casino, food tastings & cooking classes, carnival rides, and over 30 vendors.

Grab a drink, meet some cool people, and enjoy a sampler platter of our entire Festival line up. Each group will have just three minutes to convince you their show is the one to see!
Tickets, packs, passes, and buttons will be available for sale on site.

A $10 donation made to the organization will provide: a dance lesson, a horchata ticket, and the opportunity to socialize and meet other community members who love to dance. Only advanced donations will receive the drink ticket as it will be ordered and prepared ahead of time.
From 7:00pm-7:30pm, Instructor Kymberlee Kaye Raya will teach attendees the basics of dancing bachata solo. After the lesson is over we will encourage everyone to show off their new talents during a dancing and social hour. The event is outside on the sidewalk in front Tata’s Tacos and is open to the public.

Join Dr. Jordan Leasure, DC to learn how to use the best recovery tool for your sore and tight muscles. Some people may be intimidated on how best to use a foam roller, and they are not sure if they are using it correctly - let's fix that today.
Dr. Jordan will instruct the proper way to use a foam roller from your neck to your calves safely and effectively. Once the class is over you will be able to take home the foam roller to continue to improve the skills learned in class.
When coming to the workshop, wear comfortable clothing since you will be using the foam roller that day, a container for water to keep hydrated and a great attitude!!
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday from June through October, the Jefferson Park Sunday Market sets up in Jefferson Memorial Park at the corner of Lawrence and Long Avenues. There are food and produce vendors, as well as arts & crafts and performing artists. It is dog and child friendly!

Join us for a Special NVAM After Dark event: Interactive Storytelling With the Nell and Jim Band LIVE!
Back by popular demand, the Nell and Jim Band returns to NVAM on Friday, August 24th at 7:00 p.m. to entertain us with their lively blend of songs and audience-friendly storytelling. The Nell and Jim Band brings all of your favorite elements of authentic music together, creating a genre-busting sound that combines Americana, folk and bluegrass music.
In addition to songs and music from the band, audience members will be invited to participate and share stories as part of the performance. Visitors are encouraged to bring objects that carry significant meaning and share their story.

Oak Street Health is hosting a mini resource health fair on Friday, August 24, from 9 am until 12 pm.
Representatives from various organizations, including Athletico Physical Therapy and Edward Jones Investments, will be on site to provide information on their services. The event will culminate with a free raffle for attendees.

The summer market takes place every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday of the month near the corner of Long Ave and Irving Park Rd in beautiful Portage Park. A variety of vendors sell produce, meats, baked goods, cheese, specialty items, sauces, jams, handmade body products and candles, dog treats as well as prepared ready to eat items. We have beautiful dogs from Chicago Animal Care and Control available for adoption at each of our markets as well as music from a different performer each week.

Join The Yoga Shop for Friday Al Fresco on the rooftop! Each Friday in summer (from June-September) they host a fun and fresh Rooftop Happy Hour Flow with libations to follow the yoga session.
BATL - Backyard Axe Throwing League and Wildlight Yoga will partner for an extraordinary night of neighborhood adventure. The event will begin with one hour of ax throwing instruction and open ax throwing led by qualified instructors. The second hour will feature an all levels vinyasa yoga class. Tacos will be available from Chicago Taco Authority.
Bring your own yoga mat. Wear comfy clothes and close toed shoes. Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to participation.
Come out for live music at Community Tavern with no cover. There will be food and drink specials to enjoy. Feel free to book a reservation for premium seats or if you plan to have some dinner before or during the music. ‘The Oh Yeahs,’ is an acoustic group featuring three of Chicago’s top vocalists and multi-instrumentalists: Leslie Beukelman, Allison Orobia, and Sarah Marie Young. Each of these women has a diverse musical background, but they all have one thing in common: they love to make music and sing together, and it shows. ‘The Oh Yeahs’ sing and play a collection of music including original compositions and current pop hits, showcasing their signature sound of folky three-part harmonies.

Held in idyllic (and popular) Jefferson Memorial Park just off the intersections Milwaukee and Lawrence Avenues, Jeff Fest is a proud tradition in one of Chicago’s most friendly communities.
Beyond music and food, the Kids’ Zone area on the north side of the park features a ton of cool activities for families. It’s also where one will find the fest’s groovin’ “Community Stage” with eclectic acts ranging from Polynesian dancers and Irish cloggers to local bands and more.

When? Thursday, August 2nd, 7pm-9pm. Event will be rescheduled in event of rain.
Where? Tatas Tacos, 4929 W. Irving Park Rd.
How Long? The event will run two hours with a 30 minute lesson at the beginning.
How much? $10. Advance donations are required if you want to get chips and salsa. No walk-up sales will be made. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. If severe weather cancels the event, credit will be issued for a rescheduled date.
What is included? Dance lessons, Salsa & Chips, and dancing.
What should I bring? Dress in comfortable clothing and shoes. Bring a lawn chair if you'd like to sit during the event.
Parking is available in the city lot at LaPorte and Cuyler (one block north of Irving).
About Kymberlee Kaye Raya
Kymberlee is 20+ year experienced cheer and dance choreographer and fitness enthusiast. She is the Chief Imagination Officer for Big Shot Marketing Inc. Kymberlee is a sought after speaker and most recently spoke at the MindBody National Conference and will speak, and teach her dance format Supa Dupa Fly, at the IDEA World Conference. Kymberlee has taught alongside Billy Blanks and Jillian Michaels. She presents at the Chicago Fit Expo, as well as Chicago Woman's Magazine Health events. Her passion is spending time with her family and giving back by teaching to young girls with her love and enthusiasm for fitness, cheer and dance!
