108 Sun Salutes + Meditation + Reiki for New Year's

Wildlight Yoga is ringing in the new year with meditation, spirit cleansing, and renewal. Join our Reiki Master + Yoga Teacher, Cassie Zehren, in a meditative practice of 108 sun salutations. The practice will guide you through acknowledgement of the past year while helping you wipe the slate clean and prepare for a new period of abundant living.

In this physically challenging class, you'll learn learn the symbolism and meaning of 108. Class will conclude with a guided meditation and Reiki. Cassie will assist you in setting your Sankalpa (resoultion) for the New Year! Bring a friend to generate conscious and elevated energy together!

Treat yourself & participate in this uplifting experience, you won’t regret it.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Experience is necessary. Mats and props will be provided by Wildlight Yoga, 4140 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Vinyasa + Live Music with Wildlight Yoga

On Friday, December 21st, Colin Fox and Abigail Stombres will transform the space at Wildlight yoga with their soothing words and gentle melodies. Colin will provide peaceful, live music with his guitar and vocals while Abigail guides the room through a 75 minute all levels vinyasa. You'll hear safe alignment cues, words from the heart, and mesmerizing tunes. Following the class, students are invited to stay for refreshments and conversations with their fellow yogis.

Sound Magic with John Yost

Allow yourself to decompress and deeply relax, while you enjoy the healing sounds of gongs, crystal bowls, and other instruments.

Sound journey meditations are considered deeply healing and restorative. They have been proven to lower blood pressure, release stress and heal us on the molecular level. Physical sound vibrations entrain the brain to move from beta to alpha-theta states. Participation is effortless as the vibrational frequencies of the gongs, bowls and chimes bring about a blissful state.

Mats and blankets will be provided by Wildlight Yoga. Students are encouraged to bring a pillow for their comfort.

To support the mission of Six Corners Association and the work it does in small business development, community engagement, and neighborhood promotion in the larger Portage Park community, Wildlight Yoga will host two Karma Yoga classes, open to the public, with all the donations benefitting the organization.

No experience necessary. Students are required to sign waivers in advance of practice. RSVP is required as space is limited. Current students are invited to participate, but memberships and class packs cannot be applied. Mats and props provided by Wildlight Yoga.

Karma Class for Give Back Yoga Foundation

Join a global movement of hope & healing with Slow Flow and Restore Karma Class to benefit The Give Back Yoga Foundation.

Join us as we come together to share space, practice together and help bring the life-changing gift of yoga to those who need it most. Sarah will help us move and relax and help others in this season of giving! This 75-minute class will offer a gentle and accessible flow to move and warm the body to prepare it for some deeply restorative poses.

Your body, mind and soul will thank you— and so will your heart—as all proceeds will go the Give Back Yoga Foundation which helps brings yoga to those in need due to cancer, addiction, mental health and incarceration. From helping veterans calm the body and mind to supporting long-term recovery from addiction and eating disorders, you can help Give Back Yoga share the transformational power of yoga with the world, one person at a time.
