DESCRIPTION

Campers will use the foundations of the hero’s journey to explore what it means to be a hero in society today. While exploring myths from around the world, campers will learn the fundamentals of Filament’s ensemble and storytelling techniques. Throughout the week, campers will create larger-than-life characters, original songs, and their very own hero’s journey.

Why Filament Camp?
Filament Camp is special. At Filament Camp, there are no scripts and no assigned roles–each camper creates their own dream role. Campers create their own dialogue, characters, stories, and costumes.

Through drama and creative play, Filament’s experienced teaching artists focus the days to explore creative problem solving, teamwork, confident public speaking, analysis of classic texts, speaking directly to the audience, and community engagement.

Art Side Out Studio's Summer Art Camp starts on July 17th and will continue through August 18th, 10:00 am-2:00 pm. The camp is for ages 5 and up and is going to encompass all kinds of creative projects.

One day of camp is only $40
Three days for $110
After four days they are all $ 35/day
