Wildlight Yoga will host Rhonda Kantor, Founder and Director of Global Yoga and Wellness Center, for a 10-hour prenatal training workshop including postpartum for yoga teachers. As she is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), participants will receive a 10-hour certificate that can be used for continuing education credits with Yoga Alliance.
About the workshop: This training workshop will teach participants how to offer a safe and gentle approach for people in all trimesters of pregnancy and postpartum by focusing on body alignment, basic breathing techniques, posture and form and the names of poses in traditional Hatha yoga. Slow sun salutations and flow-based yoga are taught as well as the use of props and modifications for comfort.
Pre-requisite: Attendees must have completed or be currently enrolled in a 200-hour teacher training prior to enrollment in this 10-hr Prenatal Yoga Training Workshop including postpartum.
Instructor: Rhonda Kantor is founder and director of Chicago’s most well-respected prenatal yoga program that she established in 2003.
Class Size: There will be a maximum of 20 people in this training.
Attendance: Attendance for both days is required. Participants will not receive a certificate if any session, full or partial, is missed.
Topics include: Pregnancy anatomy and physiology, asana modification, designing a prenatal yoga class, flow-based yoga, sequencing, poses to avoid and why, partner work, breathing and relaxation poses, integrating pregnant people into your mainstream classes, accommodations for postpartum students, parent + baby yoga, and much more. You will be given a certificate of completion that outlines the hours in the areas of study for your continuing education paperwork.
Book: A manual is provided to all students in the training.
Application Process: To apply for Rhonda Kantor’s 10-hr. Prenatal Yoga Training Workshop including postpartum, interested participants should complete the application below. Upon receipt and review of your application, you will be notified of your acceptance status. Upon acceptance, you will be sent an invoice for your tuition. Tuition must be paid in full to reserve your spot.
Fee: $250 until March 1, 2018. $300 after March 1st. There are no refunds or credits for any reason.
