Culver's Grand Opening

The wait is over; one of the first Culver’s restaurants within the city limits of Chicago is scheduled to open its doors on Monday, January 29 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00am  at 4939 W. Irving Park Rd.  Known for its famous ButterBurger® and fresh frozen custard, the restaurant serves fast casual food cooked-to-order. Franchise owner/operators Guy Hollis and Dan Ehle, the Six Corners Association and local city officials including 45th Ward Alderman John Arena will be on hand to cut the ribbon to the new restaurant.

Hours of operation are 10:00am to 10:00pm with the exception of a few holidays. We’re thrilled to be one of the first Culver’s restaurants to bring custom, made-to-order, high-quality meals and desserts to Chicago,” says Hollis, who also owns and operates Culver’s restaurants in Bridgeview, Franklin Park, Lyons, Evergreen Park and Oak Lawn.  Culver’s signature sandwich and guest-favorite, the ButterBurger® is made with 100% fresh, never frozen, U.S. beef made cooked-to-order and topped with a lightly buttered and toasted bun.

Culver’s Fresh Frozen Custard gets its legendary creamy decadence from high-quality, fresh Wisconsin dairy from which every batch is crafted throughout the day. In addition to making their own creations, guests can customize their desserts with more than 30 mix-ins and toppings. Every day Culver’s offers three flavors of frozen custard: vanilla, chocolate and a Flavor of the Day.

The restaurant also features many other delicious choices, including real Wisconsin cheese curds, a dairyland delicacy, fresh garden salads as well as chicken sandwiches and fish dinners. Kid’s meals are also available.

"Culver’s was founded on the idea of providing excellent service and high-quality food made with the best ingredients," says Hollis. "The outstanding people who serve our guests behind the counter have helped us earn our reputation. We’re excited to have team members from the surrounding Chicago community as part of our team."

VOLUNTEER FOR THE 2018 CITY OF CHICAGO HOMELESS COUNT
Jan

to Jan 26

VOLUNTEER FOR THE 2018 CITY OF CHICAGO HOMELESS COUNT

The Chicago Department of Family and Support Services (DFSS) is looking for volunteers, please join us and make a difference!  In order to receive federal homeless funding from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, Chicago and the continuum of homeless service providers must demonstrate their need by collecting data on how many persons experience homelessness on one given night. This night for Chicago will be Thursday, January 25th from 8:00pm-2:00am. The Point-In-Time Homeless Count on the street provides DFSS with a “snapshot” of Chicago’s homeless population. Collecting the data every year allows Chicago to demonstrate the need for funding, helps with service and resource planning, and raises public awareness about homelessness. During the hours of the count, the City shelters conduct a tally and survey of every homeless person while volunteers canvass the streets and public spaces. Volunteers will be placed into teams of 3 or 4 and will be assigned to specific areas of the city to look for homeless persons. Volunteers may have an opportunity to interview homeless persons to gather data about street homelessness. This is an incredibly important effort that depends on the hard work of volunteers who assist our staff in collecting this data. I encourage everyone who is interested in volunteering to click below for more information and view the information video on our website which will provide you with all the details needed.
