THE LAST SEARS IN CHICAGO TO CLOSE. LIQUIDATION SALE TO BEGIN

Sears at Six Corners recently informed it's employees that they would be closing in the upcoming summer. Chicago as well as it's historic North Side shopping District Six Corners played a key part in fostering the growth of Sears since the company came to the city. The Six Corners store opened in 1938 and played host to incredible mass shopping events in the 40's. Although we wish things could have been different, we wish Sears and their leadership the best of luck and look forward to the potential of new development for this site.  Sears will be starting their liquidation sale April 27th.

EXPERIENCE VETERAN ART THIS VIETNAM VETERAN'S DAY

EXPERIENCE VETERAN ART THIS VIETNAM VETERAN'S DAY

The National Veterans Art Museum was founded by veteran artists that served during the Vietnam War.  When they returned some used art as a way to heal, others used it to share their dreams and memories, and others used it to share the realities of the conflict in Asia and their personal experiences.  The artwork they've created has gone on to become one of the most important lenses through which we examine conflict and war, and those who fight in them.
With this in mind, please join NVAM in thanking our Vietnam Veterans on this Vietnam War Veterans Day 2018 for their contributions not only to our nation, but to our cultural landscape as well.
You can take an active role in supporting the Veteran Artists from Vietnam and all other conflicts by visiting the museum, becoming a member, attending our events, and becoming a part of our community.
