Six Corners Association is pleased to announce the the hiring of Jason Estremera as the new Executive Director of the organization. Estremera will be bringing over six years of experience in community and economic development to Chicago’s Northwest side.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Jason to the Six Corners family,” said Marc Sussman, Board President of the Six Corners Association. “Our search for a new Executive Director included numerous applicants, and Jason’s previous success in developing strong community relationships is ultimately what impressed us. We feel his unbridled enthusiasm will only continue to strengthen not only our community, but the economic growth of those businesses that call Six Corners home.” Jason will be part of the Six Corners Association leadership team and will be responsible for budget oversight and administrative management, which includes increasing the economic development of Six Corners’ businesses, expanding special event programming, multiplying Six Corners membership, and building Six Corners’ presence in Chicago and surrounding areas.
“I’m thrilled at this opportunity to move back to the Chicago area,” said Estremera. “Six Corners has shown that they are tremendously passionate about their neighborhood and the economic stability of businesses within it, and I’m looking forward to adding my expertise to help continue that legacy.”
Estremera joins Six Corners from the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Center for Economic Development, where he served as Associate Director since 2013. In his role, Jason designed and implemented programs to support 1,585 clients, resulting in the creation and retention of hundreds of jobs, 300 new businesses, an increase in sales of over $6M and $1.5M in contracting opportunities. Jason’s leadership with the Center and with other endeavors has garnered him multiple community awards.
