Sam was inspired by his passion in soap-making and scent memory to leave the corporate world behind to open his own business. He wanted to find a way to make environmentally friendly products that smell fantastic, so he started experimenting in soap-making. His dedication to his family, the community and the environment led him to opening Distinct Bath & Body and now he wants to share his passion with Six Corners!

Scott Highlander, a Highland Park native, switched gears from his previous life as a lawyer to owning one of the only axe throwing companies in all of Chicago: Thunderbolt Chicago Axe Throwing. After being introduced to the art of axe throwing by one of his friends, Scott realized he loved the sport and decided to venture out and start his own business in the perfect location: Six Corners. He wanted to make Thunderbolt accessible to everyone in the neighborhood by providing coaches with the throwing experience and allowing walk-in groups of all sizes, so anyone that is curious can come in and try it out for themselves. League players can even qualify for the National Axe Throwing Federation Nationals in Toronto!

To better serve the neighborhood, he also offers free pickup and delivery as well as ski trips for every level of skiers!
