Arts Alive Chicago

Arts Alive Chicago is a non-profit organization that works with local artists to help enrich the community’s quality of life by using art to enhance cultural heritage and encourage economic vitality.  

Filament Theatre

Filament Theatre is located at the heart of Portage Park. They believe in taking their audience through an immersive theatrical experience to inspire, empower, and activate young people in their community. They envision a future in which the leaders of tomorrow approach others with radical empathy and serve as ambassadors for their communities and stewards of the Earth.

Hands to Help Ministries

Hands to Help Ministries works to provide resources to people who are at risk or experiencing homelessness. They address the issue of homelessness in our community through support, resources, and relationship building with community organizations.

LYDIA Home Association

LYDIA Home Assocaition is an alternative to state-run foster care and family assistance agencies. In 1920, they bought the property at 4300 West Irving Park Road, and convert it into a large, permanent home for LYDIA’s children. To this day they believe in strengthening families to care for children.

National Veterans Art Museum

The National Veterans Art Museum believes in providing people a deeper understanding of the impact of war with a focus on the Vietnam War. All of the art exhibitions are from combat veterans.  

Schurz Food Science Lab

The Schurz Food Science Lab is a one-of-a-kind food science pilot program. It's provides students with vocational training that translates science, nutrition, and the relationship with the environment into real life skills. This is a program geared to harvest the NextGen Farmers.
